​Doosan Vina kicks off the new year 2021 by exporting petrochemical equipment to Thailand

The TOP Fired Heater project was signed with JNK Heaters, South Korea in September 2019 to supply 3,772 tons of components to support raw fuel heating at Sriracha refinery, a Thailand's main oil refinery with a capacity of 400,000 barrels per day located in Chonburi province, along the east coast of the Gulf of Thailand.

In this shipment, Doosan Vina delivers a total of 2,195 tons of stack, heater duct, air pre-heater duct, radiant and convection modules, steel structure, platforms and others which are packed into 380 packages. In which the largest module weighs 206 tons. This is the second out of four shipments of the project. The first one was made on January 20, 2020. The remaining two shipments are expected to be made in February 2021.

The equipment that formed fired heaters are moving to Doosan Vina’s port for loading onboard to send to Sriracha refinery in Thailand. The biggest module weighs 206 tons.

“The Fired Heater used in the processing of petrochemical products is a new product and is produced at Doosan Vina for oversea at the first time, so we encountered many difficulties because the customer’s technical requirements were very strict while the delivery time is short. Therefore, we have had to make efforts and implemented a series of innovations and also worked closely with the customer to ensure product quality and well managed the project progress as required”, Nguyen Ngoc Nhuoc, Leader of the Doosan Vina’s Boiler shop Production Engineering Department said.

The first successful shipment in the early days of the new year 2021 gives all Doosan Vina and subcontractors’ employees joy and excitement. In the past year of 2020, Doosan Vina has sent 1,004 shipments with more than 52,000 tons of boiler equipment, seaport cranes, steel structures, modules, pipes and other products to 9 countries around the world. These were impressive figures in the context of the global economy being adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Despite impaction from COVID-19, Doosan Vina has made 1,004 shipments weighed over 52,000 tons to nine countries around the world in Y2020.
