On 25-26 September, 2019, at National Convention Center, Hanoi, Neoventure Corporation will organize the seventh RE series event in Vietnam under the name "Vietnam Solar Power Expo 2019".

The Bamboo Capital Group (BCG) - Copper Mountain Energy (CME) and Vietnam-Oman Investment Fund (VOI) Joint Venture recently held a ceremony for inaugurating BCG-CME Long An 1 Solar Power Project (SPP), with a capacity of 40.6 MWp and average output of 57 GWh per year, has a total investment of VND 1,088 billion.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc joined other ASEAN leaders at the plenary session of the 34th ASEAN Summit in Bangkok, Thailand, on June 22, discussing orientations and measures to build a sustainable ASEAN Community for the people.

As a part of the program of the official visit to the Russian Federation by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc (May 20-23), on May 22, in Moscow, PetroVietnam Exploration Production Corporation (PVEP) signed two documents including the Agreement to transfer the Lot 09-2/09 (in Cuu Long sedimentary basin of Vietnam continental shelf) and the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between PVEP and Zarubezneft Petroleum Company (Russian Federation).

On May 17, 2019 — JinkoSolar (China) announced that it won the Intersolar Award 2019 in the Photovoltaics category for its Swan bifacial module with transparent backsheet from DuPont. The Intersolar Award is presented annually to companies making a substantial contribution to the success of the industry, honoring technological innovations and groundbreaking solutions using photovoltaic-related technologies.

On February 18, 2019, in Hanoi, at the working meeting with Mr. Trinh Dinh Dung, Vice Prime Minister of Vietnamese government, Mr. Khammany Inthirath, Minister of Energy and Mining of Laos informed that he discussed with MOIT, EVN and PVN about cooperation on developing hydropower projects in Laos, power interconnection and power purchase between the two countries.

On November 29, 2018, in Hanoi, under direction of the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT), Vietnam Energy Association (VEA) in cooperation with the Central Economic Committee, Electricity of Vietnam (EVN), Vietnam National Coal – Mineral Industries Holding Corporation (Vinacomin) ad Petrovietnam (PVN) held the international conference on “ Sustainable energy development and environmental protection in Vietnam”.

The 2018 Korea Energy Exhibition hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy was the 38th largest ever event with a participation of the 6th National Museum of Renewable Energy.

On September 23rd, in the Song Luy commune, Bac Binh district, Binh Thuan province, the Binh Thuan Photovoltaic Investment Joint Stock Company held the Ceremony for starting construction of the Song Luy 1 SPP.

On 20th September, the Vietnam Truong Thanh Group held the ceremony for starting Binh Nguyen Solar Power Project in Binh Nguyen Commune, Binh Son District, Quang Ngai Province.

Signing Ceremony of the Credit Contract for financing Srepok 1 Solar Power Project with a capacity of 50 MW between Dai Hai Investment and Development Joint Stock Company (Dai Hai Company), and the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam - Thu Thiem branch (Thu Thiem Vietcombank) has just been held in Ho Chi Minh City.

At the invitation of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong will pay an official visit to the Russian Federation from 5 to 8 September.

The six Investment Certificates were issued by the Dung Quat Economic Zones Authority and presented to the company representatives at a ceremony at Doosan heavy Industries Vietnam’s high tech industrial complex in Vietnam’s Central Province of Quang Ngai on 25 July 2018.
