In recent time, at Sotrans Group’s office, Vietranstimex and Fagioli signed a MOU Signing Ceremony on the implementation of complex projects in Oil and Gas, Renewable Energy and Large Infrastructure in Vietnam market.

Within the framework of the Forum and Green Economy Forum and Exhibition GEFE 2022, on November 28, in Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh received leaders of major European corporations, including Equinor, CIP, Mainstream, Vestas, Airbus, HSBC, Suez, Siemens Gamesa, Schneider… At this event, European Enterprises showed that they are ready to invest billions of USD in wind energy projects in Vietnam.

Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee (PPC) in coordination with the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Vietnam to organize a conference to stimulate investment of German enterprises in Binh Dinh province. At this event, Binh Dinh PPC and German PNE AG signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on Binh Dinh offshore wind power projects with a total capacity of 2.000 MW and a total investment of 4.6 US$ billion.

Trina Solar has been awarded as bankable by all survey respondents in the PV Module and Inverter Bankability 2022 report issued by BloombergNEF. With this report, Trina Solar is now the only module manufacturer to be rated as bankable for 7 consecutive years by 100% of the industry respondents participating in the annual BloombergNEF survey.

On November 2, a mission of the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) headed by Mr. Tran Duy Dong, Deputy Minister had a working meeting with the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN) on formulating policies for the large state own enterprises. At the meeting, PVN proposed to license it to invest in the offshore renewable energy projects for taking advantage of PVN current resources and infrastructures to contribute to meeting the needs and commitments of Vietnam at COP26.

During the visit to Hai Phong on November 2nd, the Crown Prince of Denmark Frederik attended a trade and investment promotion event between Denmark and Hai Phong in offshore wind power. IPC Group, represented sustainable energy enterprises in Vietnam, has shared the view of the Contractor and Project Developer in the offshore wind power sector.

Doosan Enerbility Vietnam (Doosan Vina), Dung Quat Economic Zone, Binh Thuan Commune, Binh Son District, Quang Ngai, Vietnam: Global offshore wind leader Ørsted announced its latest cooperation agreement in Vietnam with Doosan Enerbility Vietnam, focused on foundations infrastructure and boosting local supply chains for offshore wind.

In order to finalize the development strategy of Binh Son Refine Joint Stock Company (BSR) to 2030, with a vision to 2045, on October 25, 2022, BSR and Boston Consulting Group (BCG with head office in the United States as the world's leading prestigious consultant has been selected to implement this project) held a high-level meeting between the parties to review the final report.

“During the visit to Vietnam of Denmark Crown Prince Successor in coming November, besides 3 investment funds, in a total 36 enterprises including delegation, there will be 22 enterprises in the wind power field to look for the investment cooperation opportunities.” - Vietnam Trade Office in Sweden, holding concurrently Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Latvia informed.

At the meeting with leaders of Vietnam - Russia Joint Venture (Vietsovpetro), PetroVietnam Technical Services Corporation (PTSC), Vietnam Oil and Gas Construction Corporation (PETROCONs) on preparation to participate in the offshore renewable energy projects, Mr. Hoang Quoc Vuong – Chairman of the Member Council of PetroVietnam (PVN) proposed the study to establish a complex for developing the renewable energy value chain, strengthening cooperation ability, promoting each other's capacity and meeting the requirements of domestic and international investors in this field.

Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee (PPC) has just issued a document assigning departments, agencies, branches and localities to consider and advise Ha Tinh PPC on the proposal of Vietnam Electricity Construction Corporation (VNECO) to invest in wind power projects in Ky Anh district.

On October 11, 2022, Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 2 (PECC2) signed an EPC Contract and a Contract to provide management and operation (O&M) services with Hau Giang Biomass Energy Joint Stock Company (HBE) for Hau Giang Biomass Power Project, at PECC2 Innovation Hub.

The Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) has just proposed to the Government and the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) to make the mechanisms for rapidly developing renewable energy projects in the Northern region to avoid the risk of electricity shortage in the near future.

In the report to the National Steering Committee for Electricity Development, Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) proposed a mechanism to assign state corporations for the pilot investment in offshore wind power projects (There is reason to invest in the areas related to the national security, new technology and complex construction). On the experience basis, the Government should direct to establish a mechanism to select investors in the form of socialization.

Mainstream Renewable Power Corporation and its Vietnamese partner - AIT Group, have successfully installed a LiDAR wind measuring station for Ben Tre offshore wind power prọect with a capacity of 500 MW.
