The Prime Minister has approved the content of the project on the National Power Development Planning in 2021 – 2030 period with a vision up to 2045 (PDP VIII).

People's Committee of Da Nang city has just issued a Decision on approving the draft and funding for roofs solar power development project to 2025, with an outlook up to 2035.

On July 19, 2019, Mr. Tran Tuan Anh, the Minister of Industry and Trade (MOIT) chaired a meeting with several units under the Ministry to discuss solutions to remove difficulties for the key power projects.

The Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) has just issued a Document No. 3450/EVN-KD, dated July 02, 2019 for guideline to solve the problems on the rooftop solar power projects (RSPPs).

The Government has just issued Decree 25/2019 / ND-CP on amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No.13/2011/ND-CP dated February 11, 2011 of the Government on the safety of the onshore petroleum projects. This revised Decree pays special attention to the safe distance for the petroleum depots and petroleum products and the measures to protect oil and gas projects.

On January 11, 2019 The Prime Minister issued the Decision to amend and supplement a number of articles of the Decision No. 11/2017 / QD-TTg of the Prime Minister dated April 11, 2017 on incentive mechanism for developing solar power projects in Vietnam. In which, there is modification of the regulations on electricity prices for the rooftop solar power projects.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has officially handed over the ownership rights of the State capital at 6 groups and corporations under the Ministry as the Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) Petro Vietnam (PVN), Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Holding Corporation (Vinacomin), Vietnam National Chemical Group (Vinachem), Vietnam National Petroleum Group and Vietnam National Tabaco Corporation (Vinataba) to the State Capital Management Committee at the enterprises.

Tra Vinh provincial People's Committee (PPC) has just signed the official correspondence to request the termination of development of Duyen Hai wind power project (in Dong Hai commune, Duyen Hai district, Tra Vinh province) with the reason of "delayed progress".

Information from the Central Electricity Corporation (EVNCPC) said that the Central Rural Electricity Project Management Board (CPCCREB) has coordinated with the People's Committee of Cam Lam District (Khanh Hoa Province) to hold the conference for announcing the detailed planning in 1/500 scale for the Solar Power Project of EVNCPC with a capacity of 50MW and annual average generation of 87.6 GWh in Cam An Bac commune, Cam Lam district.

The Prime Minister of Vietnamese Government has issued the Decision No 39/2018/QĐ-TTg dated 10/9/2018 for adjusting and supplementing a number of articles of the Decision No 37/2011/QĐ-TTg dated at 29/6/2011 on the mechanism to support the development of wind power projects in Vietnam.

Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh has signed a decision to assign tasks for the leaders of MOIT.

Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Limited (Vinacomin) has officially approved the project for restructuring Thong Nhat Coal Company- Vinacomin in 2017-2020 period. The project has a target to increase turnover by at least 6% per year, conversion labor productivity by at least 5% per year and average income of employees by at least 5% per year…

The Prime Minister has approved in writing document the proposal of the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) on adjusting and supplementing the Hoa Phat Dung Quat PPP into the National Power Development Planning in the 2011-2020 period, with a vision to 2030.

Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN) has sent an official letter to the Ministry of Industry and Trade on the plan for comprehensive restructuring PVN in 2017-2025 period, in which there is a proposal to promulgate the amended Petroleum Law with the specific provisions for oil and gas exploration and exploitation in the direction of maximally applying the conditions of the specialized law in conformity with international practice.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) has approved additionally the Cam Lam Vietnam Solar Power Project (SPP) into Khanh Hoa Power Development Planning in 2016-2025 period, with an outlook up to 2035. The Project has a capacity of 50 MW.
