On the afternoon of September 19 in Hue City, the Steering Committee for Coal Supply for Power Generation held the 2nd Session in 2025. The meeting was chaired by Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industry Group (TKV), with the participation of the Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) and the 19th Corps, to assess the coal supply situation in the first 9 months of the year, develop a plan for the fourth quarter of 2025 and provide orientation for 2026.

The electricity of Vietnam (EVN) and Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin) exchanged the situation of coal supply in 2022, and the plans for the coal supply for power generation in 2023.

Government Office informed, the Prime Minister had the directions on ensuring coal supply for power generation.

In the first two months of this year, the coal industry made positive changes. Coal production increased by four percent while consumption reached nearly six million tonnes, positively contributing to completing the industry’s set targets.
