The Government Office has just issued an Announce No 308/TB-VPCP on the conclusion of Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) Le Van Thanh at the meeting with the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) about finalizing the Power Development Planning VIII (PDP VIII).

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just signed Decision No. 1459/QD-TTg dated September 6, 2021, on strengthening the Appraisal Council of the National Power Development Planning for the period 2021-2030 with a vision to 2045 (PDP VIII) with the Chairman as Mr. Le Van Thanh - the Deputy Prime Minister and the Vice Chairman as Mr. Nguyen Hong Dien - the Minister of Industry and Trade.

The Prime Minister (PM) Pham Minh Chinh assigned the Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) Le Van Thanh to direct careful checking the content of Power Development Planning VIII (PDP VIII) with a target to ensure a suitability of practice and national interests, especially to remark anti-negativity in policy establishment. PM also paid attention to careful studying electricity prices, reasonable structure of power plants (hydro, thermal and renewable power plants) and balance between regions to avoid wasting social resources.

Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee (PPC) has just issued a document to the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) with a proposal to converse in Power Development Planning VIII (PDPVIII) Vung Ang power center 3 (Vung Ang 3&4 projects) from coal to LNG burning and increase capacity of this center from 2400 to 4800 MW.
