On March 13, 2024, at Van Phong Economic Zone, Ninh Yen village, Ninh Phuoc commune, Khanh Hoa town, Khanh Hoa province, Van Phong Power Company Limited held the inauguration ceremony of Van BOT Thermal Power plant Van Phong 1 - one of the key energy projects, contributing to the electricity demand of Khanh Hoa province as well as the Southern and South Central regions.

Doosan Enerbility Vietnam Company (Doosan Vina) has just received a certificate from the IHI Corporation for its quality and ability to supply equipment for the Van Phong 1 Thermal Power Plant (VP1) project on schedule during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Lilama 18 Joint Stock Company signed a contract to install the whole equipment including turbines, generators and auxiliary equipment for Van Phong 1 Thermal Power project with Vietnam Toshiba Plant Systems & Services Corporation (TPSC Co., Ltd). The contract with a total value of over 284 billion VND requires Lilama 18 to complete installing turbines; generators; processing and installing pipes and steel structures; installing insulations and E&I.
