Vinacomin to expect an over 10 million ton coal business in the second quarter of 2015

 - Vinacomin expects to reach, at least, a 10 million ton coal business in the second quarter of 2015, and strives to achieve the 2015 year production plan of over 50% for coal and over 52% for other products, in the first 6 months.

On April 14, 2015 in Hon Gai city, Quang Ninh province, the Vinacomin held a conference for preliminary summing up the first quarter business plan and developing the second quarter tasks.

According to assessments at the conference, in the first quarter, the subsidiaries of Vinacomin exerted all their strength to carry out the production and business plans, maintain productive progress, although there was a lot of difficulties in business of coal and minerals, making a high amount of products in stock.

The production and business targets Vinaacomin has achieved in the first quarter: crude coal mining – 10.6 million ton, accounting 26.1% year plan and 104% in comparison with amount of the same time of the previous year; coal selling – 8.2 million ton accounting 87% in comparison with the same time of the previous year, among which, 7.8 million ton for domestic consumption and 0.38 million ton for export; pebble-earth peeling – 46.7 million ton, accounting 24% year plan and 139% in comparison with amount of the same time in 2014; dig drilling – 64.4 thousand meters, accounting 22% year plan and 100% in comparison with amount of the same time in 2014; the total turnover  -  VND 27,179 billion, as 23.8% year plan and 100% in comparison with turnover of the same time in 2014; the average salary – VND 8.7 million/person/month; the safety business –  better  in comparison with one of the same time in 2014.

By the Vinacomin forecast, in the second quarter of 2015, coal business would be still face the difficulties, the selling prices would not be improved, so it is necessary to stick fast to the market and take measures for reasonable executing activities to promote coal selling and reduce amount in stock.

In order to achieve the minimal coal recovery amount of 10 million ton at least in the second quarter and 50% year plan of coal production as expected, the General Director Dang Thanh Hai also required all subsidiaries of Vinacomin to continue carrying out enterprise restructure, rising labor productivity, production  and business efficiency.
