Denmark is willing to share its experience regarding technologies and products with Vietnam to help the country achieve goals of energy and sustainable growth, said a Danish official.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has applauded the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) for its noted contributions to ensuring national energy security.

Energy security of Vietnam will be affected by placing the too large focus as an over half of power generation to coal-fired thermal power plants, that the Green Incentive Development Center (GreenID) has warned on Sept.29, 2015.

“Three groups need to develop their key roles in energy development and national energy security,” Minister of Industry and Trade Vu Huy Hoang told a recent conference to review one year of implementing the Strategic Cooperation Partnership between the Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN), the Vietnam National Gas and Oil Group (PVN) and the Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (TKV).

Vietnam is responsible for global energy security, said Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung at the plenary of the 2014 Nuclear Security Summit which took place on March 25 in Hague in the Netherlands.

By this February, 5 years has gone since Dung Quat oil refinery plant produced its first commercial product in February 2009.
