Manila, Philippines, Feb 17, 2025 – Envision Energy, a global leader in green technology, has reached a significant milestone by signing the Turbine Supply Agreement with the EPC contractor PC1 Group in Vietnam on 24th January 2025. The agreement involves the supply of 58.5MW wind turbine generators for the Libmanan Wind Power Project in Camarines Sur, Philippines, developed by Aboitiz Power Corporation. It is expected to achieve commercial operation by the end of 2026.

On the morning of February 4, 2025, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Head of the Steering Committee for the construction of nuclear power plants, chaired the second meeting of the Steering Committee. At this meeting, with the requirement to strive to complete the Ninh Thuan nuclear power project before December 31, 2030, the Prime Minister assigned Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) as the investor of Ninh Thuan 1 nuclear power plant, and the National Energy Industry Group (Petrovietnam - PVN) as the investor of Ninh Thuan 2 nuclear power plant.

Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners commences construction of the first large-scale battery energy storage project in Chile

Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), through its Growth Markets Fund II (CI GMF II), has taken the final investment decision (FID) on Project Arena, a 220 MW / 1,100 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) in the Antofagasta Region of northern Chile. The project will be one of Chile's first large-scale standalone BESS projects to reach commercial operations. On-site construction will commence in Q1.2025, with the expectation of delivering power as soon as Q1.2026.
