Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc has just signed Decision No. 1271/QD-TTg dated October 25, 2024, approving the Project to Restructure The Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) until the end of 2025 with a total overcome to grow by an average of 7-10%.

On October 19, at the Government headquarters, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a meeting of the Government Standing Committee with ministries and agencies on the implementation of important projects of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN) and Electricity of Vietnam Group (EVN) to ensure adequate electricity supply and ensure national energy security.

Based on the inspection results of the interdisciplinary inspection team, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has just announced the results of the inspection of electricity production and business costs in 2023 of Electricity of Vietnam (EVN).

On October 1, 2024, in Hanoi, Vietnam Oil and Gas Power Corporation - Joint Stock Company (PV Power) announced a credit contract worth 521.5 million USD to finance the Nhon Trach 3 and 4 Power Plant projects. This is a credit contract signed with a consortium of 2 banks Citi and ING, insured by KSURE and SERV.

On September 23, in Hanoi, The Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) Chairman Dang Hoang An worked with the mission of TBEA Hengyang Company (China) led by Mr. Sun He Cheng - Deputy General Director. Previously (September 20), Deputy General Director of EVN Nguyen Xuan Nam worked with the missions of the European Commission (EU) and the European Investment Bank (EIB).

On the morning of August 29, 2024, in Hung Yen province, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended inaugurating ceremony of the third line of 500kV project from Quang Trach (Quang Binh) to Pho Noi (Hung Yen).

At a recent working session between the Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Holding Corporation (Vinacomin) and the Electricity of Vietnam (EVN), the two sides acknowledged positive cooperation results in supplying coal to thermal power plants in 2024.

At 11:10 a.m. on August 19, 2024, the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) and the Central Power Project Management Board (CPMB) coordinated with relevant units energizing the third line of the 500kV project (Quynh Luu - Thanh Hoa section), meeting the directive objectives of the Prime Minister.

The ceremony to transfer the National Power System Dispatch Center from the Electricity of Vietnam (EVN), the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises to the Ministry of Industry and Trade was recently held in Hanoi (in the form of direct and online).

The Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) said, in July 2024, in the context of continuously increasing electricity demand and storms, tropical depressions, and heavy rains and floods in many areas in the Northern mountainous region affecting power supply, as well as several power grid projects, the EVN continuously to ensure safe and stable power supply, serving socio-economic development, meeting people's daily needs.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang has just signed Decision No. 752/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister on separating the National Electricity System Dispatch Center (A0) from the Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) and the policy of Founding the National Electricity System and Market Operation Company Limited (NSMO) under the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises.

In the first 6 months of 2024, EVN has ensured a safe and stable electricity supply for socio-economic development and meeting the people's daily needs, in the context of development electricity demand continues to increase.

At 2:35 a.m., June 18, 2024, the Northern Power Project Management Board (NPMB) coordinated with relevant units to successfully energize the extension of highway compartments 585 and 586 of the transformer station 500 kV Pho Noi and the line section from the 2 sections of the highway extended to location 319 of the third line from 500 kV project (section from thermal power plant Nam Dinh 1 - Pho Noi), with 2 days ahead of schedule compared with requirement of EVNNPT.

On June 7, 2024, Toyo Ink Berhad Group with Song Hau 2 Electricity Company Limited and Export-Import Bank of Malaysia (Malaysia Eximbank) held a signing ceremony of a credit contract (worth 980 million USD) for Song Hau 2 Thermal Power Project, to serve the design, equipment procurement, construction and operation of the project.

On the morning of June 2, in Quang Dong commune, Quang Trach district, Quang Binh province, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the working group inspected the progress and encouraged the construction force of the Quang Trach 1 Thermal Power Plant project. Attending the working group were leaders of relevant ministries, Quang Binh province and Electricity of Vietnam (EVN).
