At 2:35 a.m., June 18, 2024, the Northern Power Project Management Board (NPMB) coordinated with relevant units to successfully energize the extension of highway compartments 585 and 586 of the transformer station 500 kV Pho Noi and the line section from the 2 sections of the highway extended to location 319 of the third line from 500 kV project (section from thermal power plant Nam Dinh 1 - Pho Noi), with 2 days ahead of schedule compared with requirement of EVNNPT.

On June 7, 2024, Toyo Ink Berhad Group with Song Hau 2 Electricity Company Limited and Export-Import Bank of Malaysia (Malaysia Eximbank) held a signing ceremony of a credit contract (worth 980 million USD) for Song Hau 2 Thermal Power Project, to serve the design, equipment procurement, construction and operation of the project.

On the morning of June 2, in Quang Dong commune, Quang Trach district, Quang Binh province, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the working group inspected the progress and encouraged the construction force of the Quang Trach 1 Thermal Power Plant project. Attending the working group were leaders of relevant ministries, Quang Binh province and Electricity of Vietnam (EVN).

Recently, at the inspection of production and work session, at Na Duong Coal Company and Na Duong Thermal Power Company - Vinacomin, The Chairman of Member Council of Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industry Group Ngo Hoang Ngan requested ready to start construction of the Na Duong 2 Thermal Power project in early April 2024.

From the beginning of 2024, the national load will grow by about 10.9% compared to the same period in 2023. Among them, the North will increase by 10.8%, the South by 12% and the Central region by 6.9%.
