Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son has just signed Decision No. 1682/QD-TTg, dated December 28, 2024, approving the addition and update of the Plan for implementing the National Power Development Plan for 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050. This Decision issues an appendix to supplement and update the list of power source projects (in Appendix III) and transmission grids (in Appendix V) of Decision No. 262/QD-TTg dated April 1, 2024.

Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc has just signed Decision No. 22/2024/QD-TTg abolishing all Decision No. 41/2017/QD-TTg (dated September 15, 2017) regulating the procedures for transferring power projects invested with state capital to the Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) for management. Decision 22 takes effect from January 15, 2025.

Hanoi, November 29, 2024 – Vung Ang II Thermal Power Company Limited (VAPCO) has signed an operation and maintenance (O&M) contract for the BOT Vung Ang II Thermal Power Plant with the contractor consortium EMTEK-KEPS-OES. As a subsidiary of EMTEK, Asia Networks PEMS (PEMS) will play a key role in executing the project, marking a significant milestone in advancing operation and maintenance services for power plants in Vietnam.
