The Vietnam Green Hydrogen Center (Green Hydrogen Hub Vietnam) was officially inaugurated at the Vietnamese-German University (VGU) in Ho Chi Minh City, marking an important milestone in Vietnam’s efforts to develop a green hydrogen economy and accelerate the national energy transition.

A comprehensive Quality and Safety Management (QSM) model for maintenance activities in the energy industrial facilities in Vietnam were envisaged to address challenges in performance oversight, minimize workflow fragmentation, enhance leadership accountability, reduce documentation redundancy and overlap, and streamline the reporting, submission, review, acceptance, and approval processes for asset owners and service providers, especially foreign contractors required to comply with Vietnam’s regulations.

On the afternoon of April 24, 2025, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Energy Association (VEA) and the China Electricity Council (CEC) co-hosted the Vietnam - China - ASEAN International Energy Forum 2025 (VCAE IF 2025) under the theme: "Vietnam - China - ASEAN Energy Cooperation Towards Low Carbon Emissions". The Forum with participation of representatives of Party and State agencies, the National Assembly, and enterprises from Vietnam, China, and ASEAN member states.

On April 24, 2025, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Energy Association (VEA) and the China Electricity Council (CEC) officially inaugurated the Vietnam - China - ASEAN International Energy Exhibition 2025 (VCAE EXPO 2025). The Exhibition with themed "Vietnam - China - ASEAN Energy Cooperation Towards Low-Carbon Emissions", gathers enterprises from Vietnam, China, and ASEAN operating in the energy and environment sectors. The event is held over three days, from April 24 to 26, 2025.

Doosan Enerility Vietnam Co. Ltd. (Doosan Vina) announced that the Vietnam Customs Department recently approved renewing its Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) certificate for the second time. The certificate is valid for three years from March 20, 2025.

VER- “Combustion Flame Monitoring Technology to Improve Industrial and Power Boiler Efficiency”, the Vietnam Energy Review introduces a relatively new technology—TempVision Combustion. This technology functions like a “CT scan” diagnostic system in medical applications, but here, it is a “CT scan” for coal-fired power plant boilers. Experimental results from both international and domestic coal-fired power plants have demonstrated that when boilers are supported by “image-based diagnostics,” key combustion parameters can be adjusted in real time, leading to more stable fuel combustion, reduced fuel consumption, and minimized slagging at furnace corners—thereby helping to prevent failures such as slag hopper tube ruptures.

Siemens has completed the $10 billion acquisition of Altair Engineering Inc., a leading industrial simulation software provider. This strengthens Siemens' leadership in simulation and industrial AI by adding expertise in mechanical and electromagnetic simulation, high-performance computing (HPC), and data science. Integrating Altair’s technology will enhance Siemens’ Digital Twin and make simulation more accessible, helping companies accelerate product development.

Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners and Friesen Elektra Green Energy AG have launched project Anker, a green hydrogen production facility in Sande, Lower Saxony, Germany.

On April 24 - 26, 2025 at International Center for Exhibition – I.C.E Hanoi (Cultural Palace, 91 Tran Hung Dao/ 4 Tran Binh Trong, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi), the China Electricity Council (CEC) and the Vietnam Energy Association (VEA) will organize the Vietnam - China - ASEAN International Energy Exhibition 2025 (VCAE EXPO 2025) and the Vietnam - China - ASEAN International Energy Forum 2025 (VCAE IF 2025).

Pumped storage hydropower is a vital technology in the renewable energy transition, providing essential support to integrate variable sources (e.g., wind and solar energy) into the energy grid. With approximately 180 GW of global installed capacity as of 2023, it is proven to be the most reliable and cost-effective solution for large-scale energy storage. Anticipated to double within two decades, pumped storage is critical for stabilizing grids and meeting long-term clean electricity needs.
