The contract, signed with SSIT, a deep-water container terminal in southern Vietnam jointly operated by SSA Marine (USA), Saigon Port, and Vietnam Maritime Corporation (VIMC), reflects growing confidence in HD Hyundai Eco Vina's engineering expertise and project execution capabilities. Under the agreement, HD Hyundai Eco Vina will undertake the complete scope of the project, including engineering design, manufacturing, transportation, installation, commissioning, and final technical handover. The turnkey project demonstrates the company's ability to deliver comprehensive port equipment solutions in addition to its manufacturing capabilities.
The award comes at a time when the global port crane market is experiencing steady growth, driven by increasing international trade, continued investment in port infrastructure, and the deployment of larger container vessels. At the same time, ports worldwide are accelerating automation and digitalization, creating growing demand for high-performance and efficient cargo handling equipment.
Since joining HD Hyundai Group in December 2025, HD Hyundai Eco Vina has become an integral part of the Group's strategy to expand its port equipment business globally. Together with HD Hyundai Samho, one of the world's leading manufacturers of port cranes, the company is expected to strengthen the Group's competitiveness while using Vietnam as a strategic production base to serve customers across Asia and other international markets.
