EVNNPC Approved as Investor for Dong Van 220 kV Substation and Ha Dong–Phu Ly (Hanoi) Transmission Line Project

Under Decision No. 3287/QĐ-UBND dated September 3, 2026, the project aims to relieve the load on 220 kV substations in the area that are currently operating at high load levels, while meeting electricity demand from existing industrial parks, those under construction, and other loads in the region. The project has a total investment of more than VND 1.556 trillion and is expected to be completed and energized in Q4 2027.
The Dong Van 220 kV Substation will be built in Duy Tien Ward, Ninh Binh Province. The project’s 220 kV and 110 kV transmission lines will pass through Kim Bang, Tam Chuc, Le Ho, Kim Thanh, Duy Ha, Dong Van, Tien Son and Duy Tien wards.

The Dong Van 220 kV Substation will have a final configuration of three 220 kV–250 MVA transformers. During the project implementation phase, the substation will be equipped with two 220 kV–250 MVA transformers.
For grid connection, the project will construct approximately 18.1 km of new 220 kV transmission lines. It will also relocate a section of the existing 110 kV branch line to the Hoa Mac 110 kV Substation to facilitate construction of the Dong Van 220 kV Substation./.
