The Vietnam Energy Association (VEA) has just sent a document to the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT), the Electricity Regulatory Authority (ERA) and Vietnam Electricity (EVN) on “Adjusting peak power generation hours and tariff of avoided costs for small and medium hydropower projects in 2021”.

In the 5th session, Quang Nam provincial people’s council (IX term of office) has adopted a lot of the important resolutions, specially the Resolution on adjusting Resolution No 161/2010/NQ-HĐND of the medium and small hydropower planning in Quang Nam province to supplement 4 hydropower projects in Nam (Southern) Tra My district.

At the regular Press Conference of the Government on May 4, 2016, answering questions from journalists about the government’s viewpoint on planning and implementation plan of hydropower projects in Central Highlands region, Mr. Mai Tien Dung, Chairmen of Government Office affirmed: the Government has steered related ministries, sectors and localities to check, correct and supplement hydropower planning in Central Highlands region with a multipurpose target as power generation, flood control in rainy season and water supply for the lowland in dry season.

According to the information of Electricity of Vietnam (EVN), by the end of April 2015, all hydropower projects (HPP) invested by the Group are going abreast the outline construction progress.
