Moscow hosted a science and practice conference of ROSATOM’s specialists on the Proryv Project, which, if successful, will ensure Russia’s leadership in the world’s power engineering.

Rosatom has proved that it can handle not only nuclear projects. In the middle of February the NIAEP-ASE joint engineering nuclear industry company put in commission the first unit of the Yuzhnouralskaya GRES-2 in the Chelyabinsk region. This is the first thermal energy object in the country where nuclear industry is a general contractor and equipment supplier. Taking into consideration the fact that by 2030 no less than 100GW of heat power are to be introduced in Russia, Rosatom now has a chance to take its niche at heat-power engineering market. Nuclear industry has everything it needs.
