The Government has just issued Decree No. 99/2020/ ND-CP on the regulations to punish the administrative violations in the petroleum relevant activities (searching, exploring, exploiting and trading petroleum). The Decree stipulates the maximal administrative violation in exploring and exploiting oil and gas as 01 billion VND for an individual and 02 billion VND for an organization.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) has just issued the Unified Document No. 07/VBHN-BCT for regulating wind power development and Standardized Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for wind power projects. 

The Minister of Industry and Trade (MOIT) has signed a Decision on establishing a commission and a group to draft  and edit a Decree to replace the  Government Decree No19 for Gas Business issued on 22/3/2016.

Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung (Head of the National Steering Committee for Power Development) has signed a decision to promulgate the Operating Regulations of the Steering Committee.

The Prime Minister has issued a decision on a number of solutions to handle and use ash, slag from thermal power plants as raw material for  building materials production.  

Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai signed and promulgated Decision No. 05/2024/QD-TTg regulating the mechanism for adjusting the average retail electricity price (replacing Decision 24/2017/QD-TTg). This decision takes effect from May 15, 2024.

Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh, Head of the State Steering Committee for the key oil and gas projects has just signed Decision No. 11/QD-BCDNNDK dated January 19, 2022 promulgating the Operational Regulations of the Steering Committee for assisting the Government and Prime Minister to direct implementing the key oil and gas projects.

On  Aug.  7th,  2014,  at  the  office  of  Central Power  Corporation    (EVN  CPC),  Da  Nang City  was  held  a  Signing  Ceremony  of MoU    between  the  International  Copper Association  of  Southeast  Asia  (ICASEA), Da  Nang  Centre  for  Energy  saving  and technology  transfer    (DECC)  and  EVN  CPC on  establishing  Technical  Regulations  for connecting Solar PV Systems on the roof of the buildings to the National Electric Network.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) has just promulgated Circular No. 57/2020/TT-BCT (Circular 57) on the method for defining electricity generation prices and the order for checking power purchase agreement (PPA), and on amending and supplementing a number of clauses of the Circular No 57/2014/TT-BCT dated 19/12/2014 of MOIT minister on the method and order to formulating and promulgating the framework of electricity generation prices.

The Prime Minister (PM) has just solved the problems on handling ash and slag in some of BOT coal fired thermal power plants (TPP) as flows: Hai Duong, Vinh Tan 1 projects apply the regulations on slag ground at the time of signing BOT contracts; Nam Dinh 1, Nghi Son 2, Van Phong 1, Vung Ang 2, Vinh Tan 3 and Song Hau 2 projects maintain the areas of slag grounds as approved in the feasibility study reports.
