Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee (PPC) informed that although the investors proposed many clean power projects (wind, solar, gas ...), but the projects were  implemented relatively slowly, not ensuring the proposed progress, affecting the effectiveness to call investment in the area.

The British Government has just turned on a “Green Light” for the 8 large clean energy projects, among which  there are 5 offshore wind power and 3 biomass energy projects.

At the International Convention Center (35 Hung Vuong, Hanoi), the Committee on Science, Technology and Environment of the National Assembly and the Science Council of Vietnam Energy Review have successfully organized the 3rd Vietnam Clean Energy Forum with the theme: "Development of gas and wind power infrastructure in Vietnam". Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) informs that the clean coal production approximately reached 14 million tons in the 4 months of the year, accounting a 2.9% improvement on last year period production. However, the production in April was only 3.6 million tons, down 4.2% compared to the same period of the year.

On 17 January 2014 afternoon, in Hanoi, Institute of Energy, World Vision Vietnam and Renewable Energy Research Center – Hanoi University of Science and Technology (RERC)  signed the project implementation agreement for Project number 4-V-055 – Integrated Sustainable Clean Energy Solutions for Vietnam, co-funded by EEP-Mekong and World Vision Australia.

At afternoon of August 14, 2018 in Government Office, The Prime Minister (PM) Nguyen Xuan Phuc had a meeting with Mr. Sarath Ratanavadi, the Founder and CEO of Gulf Energy Development (Thailand). Gulf Energy Development has invested in Vietnam through a 100 MW solar power project and expects to continue investing in Vietnam's energy sector.

On April 19 2017, at the Investment Promotion Conference in Binh Thuan province with the presence of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, was held a Ceremony for signing Investment MOUs on Three Clean Energy Project Investment in Binh Thuan between Duc Long Gia lai Group (DLG:HOSE) and Binh Thuan Provincial People’s Committee (PPC).

At the end of December 2016, Lai Chau Hydropower Plant is going to officially come into operation, one year ahead of schedule. As a significant contributor to this success, equipment supplier GE, added to its tradition of quality and reliability and reaffirmed its commitment to customers in Vietnam.
