At the online over handing conference on production operation in September 2019, Mr. Dang Thanh Hai, the General Director of Vietnam National Coal-Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin)  asked the member units to pay interest to coal import to meet the demand of customers, especially power generation with a goal to strive achieving 7 million tons of import coal in 2019.

On December 5, Vietnam Citibank successfully arranged an US$ 245 million long-term (13 years)  export credit for National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT). The credit is guaranteed by the Vietnamese Ministry of Finance and insured by the Japanese Export Credit and Investment  Insurance Agency (NEXI). This is a second credit  insured by NEXI for EVN NPT in Vietnam.
