Attending the meeting on Sembcorp’s side were Mr. Jaya Ratnnam - Singapore Ambassador to Vietnam; Mr. Koh Chiap Khiong - General Director of Sembcorp Southeast Asia; Ms. Pham Thu Hang - General Director of Vietstar Training and Consulting Joint Stock Company, Director of Vietnam - Singapore High Level Forum; with the leaders of Sembcorp’s divisions. On the side of Petrovietnam, there was Mr. Bui Minh Tien - member of the Board of Directors; Mr. Pham Tien Dzung - Vice President; Mr. Nguyen Duy Giang - Deputy General Director of Petrovietnam Power Corporation (PV Power); together with representing leaders of the Group’s Divisions/ Administration Office.

The Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN) informed that the PVN mission headed by Mr. Nguyen Hung Dung – Member of the PVN Member Council visited and worked at Sembcorp Group (Singapore) and during the visit, Sembcorp Corporation and PetroVietnam Joint -Stock Technical Services Corporation (PTSC) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on renewable energy development, cross-border electricity trading, low carbon solutions (as hydrogen, ammonia), energy storage systems, smart grids and support/participation in developing LNG infrastructure in Vietnam.

Mr. Tran Ngoc Cang, the Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) and Ms. Atul Nargund, Vice Chairman of Sembcorp (Singapore) have signed the MOU on cooperation in developing Dung Quat gas fired Power Project.

Mr. Duong Quang Thanh - Chairman of the Member Council of Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) just had a working meeting with Mr. Tan See Leng - Minister of Manpower Ministry and Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Singapore, and the delegates of the Singapore Mission to Hanoi for exchanging views on cooperation in the energy field. At the meeting, the two sides expected that Vietnam and Singapore's power grids may be connected by 2035 for Singapore to buy offshore power electricity from Vietnam.

On June 28, 2017, Thua Thien – Hue Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) headed by its Chairman, Mr. Nguyen Van Cao, had a working meeting with Orange Renewable Energy company (under AT Capital - Singapore group) on Orange company investment in a solar PV project in Phong Dien district, Thua Thien – Hue province.

Lion Island Nation to receive 11 "Made in Vietnam" modules, once installed, these modules will become the facility of the latex distillation factory to produce medical gloves in OUE Downtown, Singapore.
