In the coming period, besides promoting search, exploration and exploitation of petroleum in deep-water, offshore areas in association with the national sovereignty protection at the sea in accordance with the development orientation of Vietnam’s Petroleum Industry to 2030, with a vision to 2045 approved by the Prime Minister, Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN) will actively study to search for and explore non-traditional hydrocarbons (hydrate, coal gas, shallow gas, shale gas ...) to increase petroleum reserves for the country.

The Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN) informed that the Group is currently studying to search the markets and build infrastructural bases for importing liquefied natural gas (LNG) and studying to develop the gas pipelines for connecting the regions to form a national gas pipeline system of Vietnam.

Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN) has completed over two months for the 4 targets in year plan as increasing the oil and gas reserves, total turnover, state budget payment and consolidated after- tax profits.

The Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN) informed: during attending the 9th Saint Petersburg International Gas Forum (SPIGF), in the Russian Federation, PVN President Tran Sy Thanh had a meeting with the leaders of Gazprom Group to discuss promoting the existing cooperation between Gazprom and PVN, and developing projects in power generation and liquefied natural gas (LNG) production.

Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN) has informed that on December 13, 2018, the Party Committee of PVN held a ceremony for announcing the Decision to appoint Mr. Dinh Van Son as the Secretary of the Party Committee of PVN Office in 2015- 2020 term.
