On January 21, 2026, in Hanoi, the Electricity Authority of Vietnam (under the Ministry of Industry and Trade), in coordination with the Vietnam Energy Association (VEA), organized the Forum “Realizing the Goals of Politburo Resolution No. 70 on Ensuring National Energy Security”. The Forum focused on two main thematic sessions: Theme 1: Mechanisms for mobilizing capital for large-scale energy projects and the issue of selecting investors for energy projects under the revised PDP VIII; Theme 2: Investor selection for renewable energy projects, issues related to surveys, wind measurement, assessment of the development potential of offshore wind power projects, and national marine spatial planning. The following are the key highlights discussed at the Forum.
