Trung Nam Construction Investment Joint Stock Company has successfully powered the 500kV transformer substation with two transformers by 225 MVA each (2x225 MVA) and 1.2 km of transmission line for connecting the Ea Nam Wind Power Project –largest wind power plant in Vietnam at present time to the 500 kV Di Linh - Pleiku transmission line.

On October 14th, 2015, the 500kV Son La – Lai Chau transmission line project has been energized by National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT), 16 days ahead the schedule required by Vietnam Electricity (EVN) and National Son La – Lai Chau Hydropower Project Steering Committee.

Vietnam National Power Transmission Corporation (EVN NPT) has just put into operation the Thai Binh- Nam Dinh 220kV second circuit transmission line.

According to the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT), in the first half of 2014, power output of the EVNNPT was estimated to have reached 59.95 billion kilowatts, an increase of nine percent compared with the same period last year, accounting for 19.1 percent of this year’s plan. The power loss reached 2.6 percent, down 0.06 percent on the corresponding period of 2013.

Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Electricity Regulatory Authority of Vietnam (ERAV) Director Dang Huy Cuong said that the south would not lack power in the dry season this year. In particular, the risk of power shortages in the southern provinces will be avoided thanks to putting the Pleiku-My Phuoc-Cau Bong 500 kV power transmission line into operation.

According to the informaton fom The Electricity of Vietnam (EVN), in second half of the year, EVN will strive to energize and start many power grid projects as expected schedule.
