The Northern Coal Trading Joint Stock Company (Vietnam National Coal – Mineral Industries Group - Vinacomin) has just received a coal bulk cargo shipment imported directly from IMI FUELS LLC (USA). This is the first shipment of coal imported from the United States to Vietnam.

During the term 2015-2020, the Party Committee of Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industry Group (Vinacomin) has renovated and strongly promoted the scientific and technological development as application of mechanization, automation and computerization in the production and business activities.

Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin) informed that despite April was a peak month in the Covid-19 pandemic prevention by direction of the Prime Minister on the social spacing, the Vinacomin maintained stably the production and business activities and also well controlled and carried out the pandemic prevention.

On March 24, 2020, Mr. Le Minh Chuan, Chairman of the Member Council of Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin) signed the decision to appoint Mr. Phan Xuan Thuy - The Head of Mining Engineering-Technological Department to position of Vinacomin Deputy General Director with a term of 5 years since April 02, 2020.

The State Capital Management Committee in the Enterprises (SCMC) has just issued Decision No.77-QD/ UBQLV to approve 2020 production, business and development investment plans for parent company - Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin).

On January 10, Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) Trinh Dinh Dung attended the Conference to summarize the work of 2019 and deploy the tasks of 2020 of Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industry Group (Vinacomin). At the conference, the DPM assigned Vinacomin to carry out eight key tasks in 2020.

In the morning of December 26, in Quang Ninh province, Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industry Group (Vinacomin) held a conference for deploying the production and business plans and signing contracts to implement the plans in 2020.

The Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin) informed: Mao Khe project with a pit level of -150m will generate coal in 2021. This is a pit coal mine with a continuous exploiting process of 65 years (from 1954) and a total coal production of nearly 60 million tons.

Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin) has just held a meeting to review and promote exploratory and surveying activities of Vinacomin in the period of 2019-2020 and 5-year plan of 2021-2025.

According to information from Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin), in 2019 the coal demand for the thermal power plants reaches the highest level ever. From the beginning of the year so far, Vinacomin provides customers with an average of over 100,000 tons per day including holidays and Tet days.
