With agreement of Thai Binh provincial people’s committee, Vinacomin directed Vinacomin Power Corporation to develop the 440 MW coal-fired thermal power plant in Thai Binh thermal power center.

Speaking at the working meeting with Chinese Sungrow Power group, Mr. Luong Van Hai, Vice Chairman of Binh Thuan Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) said, this province always “opens the door” for capable and financially viable partners to invest in wind and solar power projects in the province.

Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) has just decided to add a Dohwa solar power project to the power development planning of Qung Binh province in 2016 – 2025 period with outlook up to 2035. This is a project among the Dohwa renewable energy complex of Dohwa Group (Korea) which has a capacity of 49.5 MW and occupies 75.1 ha area in Ngu Thuy Bac village, Hung Thuy commune, Le Thuy district, Quang Binh province.

On Sept. 08, 2020, the Deputy Prime Ministry Trinh Dinh Dung approved to adjust the capacity of Hoa Binh 5 wind power project (in Hoa Binh district, Bac Lieu province) which has been supplemented to the Adjusted Power Development Planning VII (PDP VII+) from 120 MW to 80 MW (for the first phase) and  add the KOSY Bac Lieu wind power project (first phase) with a capacity of 40 MW (also in Hoa Bibh district) to PDP+.

Recently, at the meeting with the consortium of contractors (France EDF, Japan Sojitz and Vietnam Pacific company) of Son My 1 thermal power plant (TPP), Standing Vice Chairman of Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee (PPC) Luong Van Hai affirmed to maximally create the favorable conditions for Son My 1 thermal power project to be deployed and come into operation as soon as possible.

On May 17, 2018, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hai and the delegation of Binh Thuan province had a meeting with Pacifico Energy Corporation in Tokyo. Mr. Willliam Nathan Fraklin - President and CEO of Pacifico Energy received and worked with the delegation.

According to the information from Quang Binh Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) Office, Mr. Nguyen Hoai Hoai, the Chairman of Quang Binh PPC has had a working meeting with UPC Renewables Asia I Ltd. Company (UPC) on UPC – Le thuy and UPC – Quang Binh wind power projects in Le Thuy district.

On January 22, 2024, in Thai Binh, The Electricity of Vietnam (EVN), National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) had a working session with the Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee on power supply and investment in the construction of power projects in Thai Binh province, with the center on the 500 kV circuit 3 line project (Nam Dinh 1 thermal power plant - Pho Noi section). At the meeting, Thai Binh province committed to ensuring the progress of handing over the project's foundation locations (in February) and route corridor (in March 2024) as requested by EVN and EVNNPT.

After more than one - year construction and two – month test operation, Mui Dinh wind power farm invested by EAB (German Federal Republic) has been officially synchronized with the national power system.
