According to information of VNF website, the World Bank (WB) Directorate has approved a $102 million loan for the Vietnamese government to support the efforts of industrial enterprises in applying energy saving technologies and solutions.

PM Nguyen Tan Dung has approved a program on supporting policy development to improve the power sector from 2014 to 2016, with a US$200 million investment loaned from the World Bank.

Siemens Managing Board decides to form worldwide aid fund to help relieve and combat the coronavirus pandemic. All this funds donated by employees to supplement numerous aid programs already in place at international Siemens units aim to help people stricken by the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide. Siemens' President and CEO lays foundation by donating €1 million.

On December 9, 2021, within the framework of the Project on Promoting Energy Saving in Industries of Vietnam (VSUEE) funded by the Green Climate Fund (GCF) through the World Bank (WB) and Saigon - Hanoi Bank (SHB) signed an Agreement for guaranteeing GCF with a total value of 75 million USD.

With a 112,414 billion Yên total loan from Japanese Official Development Assistance (ODA) for 7 projects of Vietnam recently, of which, nearly 40 billion Yen for two power projects.

On 17th September, the United States Trading and Development Agency (USTDA) and the Electricity Regulatory Authority of Vietnam (ERAV under MoIT) signed an  agreement on  a $ 1.2 million feasibility study and pilot project on an automated demand response (ADR) which will be carried out by Honeywell, a New Jersey-based supplier of smart grid technologies and services.  

At Halong City, Quang Ninh Province, the Vietnam Foreign Trade Joint Stock Commercial Bank (Vietcombank) and the Nui Beo Coal Joint Stock Company (JSC) signed a VND 800 billion  credit agreement for a pit mining project at Nui Beo coal mine.

Recently, in Hanoi, Mr. Tran Dinh Nhan - General Director of Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) worked with the Mission of Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners - CIP from Denmark headed by Mr. Robert Helms – the Member and Director of the New Market Fund offshore wind power (under CIP). At the meeting, the Danish partners proposed that EVN cooperate in developing a number of large offshore wind power projects and the power transmission grid.
