The Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien (Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the National Steering Committee for Electricity Development) has just chaired a meeting with the Committee for Management of State Capital at Enterprises, EVN, EVNNPT, Viettel, and 9 concerned localities (in the form of direct, combination with online) to discuss and agree on solutions to speed up the implementation progress of circuit 3 (extended) of 500 kV project.

Potential Induced Degradation (PID) is a phenomenon which affects some PV modules with crystalline Si cells and leads to gradual deterioration of performance. The degradation can be as much as 30% or more after a few years. Some module manufacturers are already working to develop countermeasures by using new materials, but the general trend to three-phase systems and system voltages more than 1,000 VDC is currently exacerbating the problem rather than alleviating it.
