Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (BSR) informed: Dung Quat Oil Refinery has just finished the successful test processing Sokol crude oil - marking an important milestone in diversifying crude oil with stable quality for Dung Quat Oil Refinery.

From September 9 to 12, 2019, the delegation of Binh Son Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (BSR) led by General Director Bui Minh Tien attended the 35th APPEC Conference in Singapore. This is an opportunity for BSR to contact and discuss with partners to expand opportunities for importing crude oil for Dung Quat Oil Refinery.

After nearly a year of changing the operating model to a joint stock company, Binh Son Refinery Joint Stock Company (BSR) has shown the strong steps even in the most difficult times of the market to affirm as a leading company in backyard of PetroVietnam (PVN) with a good result “stable production and efficient business”.

The central committee of the Vietnam Environmental Economics Association (under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment) has just recognized Dung Quat Oil Refinery Plant, which has achieved the Top 10 of "Friendly Green Plants" and the product line of unleaded petrol: RON 95-III, RON 92-II, E5 RON 92-II and diesel fuel (DO 0,005S) of Dung Quat Oil Refinery has achieved the Top 20 of “Environmentally Friendly Products” in 2018.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade wants petroleum products from the Dung Quat Oil Refinery consumed domestically and not exported.

On November 06, 2015, the Board of the Directors of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN) has issued Decision No. 2665 / QD-DKVN on equitization of Binh Son Single Member Refinery Company Limited (BSR).

The UK’s Amec Foster Wheeler Energy Limited ( Foster Wheeler) has been hired to outline a master design for the project to expand and upgrade the Dung Quat oil refinery in the central coastal province of Quang Ngai, which is expected to increase its capacity to 8.5 million tonnes per year.
