A delegation from the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) headed by Chairman of its Member Council Nguyen Quoc Khanh accompanied State President Tran Dai Quang on his visit to Cambodia in mid-June. They joined many activities aiming to increase oil and gas cooperation between the two countries.

On July12, 2016, in Hanoi, Petrovietnam (PVN) held a conference to sum up 2016 working plan in the first 6 months and deploy it in the last 6 months.

A PetroVietnam (PVN) mission headed by the President Nguyen Quoc Khanh attended Kuwait and Japan on April 6 - 12 to promote developing petroleum cooperation projects.

According to the Dicision No. 89/QĐ -TTg, dated on Jan 12, 2016, the Prime Minister has appointed Mr. Nguyen Quoc Khanh - General Director of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) cum the Chairman of the Board of Directors’ duties as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of PetroVietnam.

The PetroVietnam Power Corporation (PV Power) aims to produce over 21 billion kWh and earn 29.45 trillion VND (1.31 billion USD) in 2016.

In the first 6 months of 2015, the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN) already kept the tempo of production and business and completed exceedingly the 6 month plan with a higher rate in comparison with the same period of 2014.

According to the PetroVietnam, following the Government’s direction on the implementation of Junin 2 Project, in the frameworks of the business trip from 7th to 11th December 2014 in Venezuela after the first week on the new responsibility, on 9th December 2014, PetroVietnam President & CEO Nguyen Quoc Khanh met and worked with Mr. Eulogio del Pino, the President of Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) at PDVSA headquarters in Caracas.

On December 01, 2014, at the headquarter of PetroVietnam (PVN) was held the ceremony on handing the decision to appoint Mr. Nguyen Quoc Khanh to the position of PVN Member Council Member, General Director and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee.
