Mr. Nguyen Quoc Khanh has been appointed to the position of General Director of PetroVietnam

Minister of Industry and Trade Vu Huy Hoang is handing the decision on appointment to Mr. Nguyen Quoc Khanh.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister of Industry and Trade Vu Huy Hoang confirmed the enourmous contribution of the petroleum branch, particularly, and industrial sector, generally to the socio-economic development of the country in 2014. The Minister expressed to believe PetroVietnam with a new leadership team will continue to bring into play the precious tradition of the petroleum industry, drastically overcome difficulties to successfully complete the  plan of 2014 year.

In his inaugural speech, the new General Director Nguyen Quoc Khanh promised to unite with the leaders and employees of the Group to strive building PVN strongly developed, deserved an economic backbone of the country.

With the position of General Director, Member of Member Council, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Khanh will propose the Party Standing Committee and Member Council to bring into play a high-levelled possibility of the deputy general directors and the assistant apparatus, mobilize the power of entire political system for concentrating to fulfill all the tasks and, at the same time, successfully carry out the PVN restructure  project approved by the Prime Minister.
