Previously, on September 7, 2025, the Construction and Installation Enterprise completed the acceptance and launch of the BK-24 superstructure, fully meeting the requirements of design, quality and acceptance regulations, creating a premise for the next construction step.
The BK-24 superstructure weighs about 800 tons, installed by the Hoang Sa crane with the participation of more than 130 officers and employees working in 3 consecutive shifts at sea. After completing the installation, the collective of officials, engineers and employees of the Construction and Installation Enterprise will continue to carry out the items of connection and handover, striving to put the BK-24 rig into operation of the first oil flow ahead of schedule.
The BK-24 wellhead platform is an unmanned platform designed, manufactured and installed by Vietsovpetro, located at the Bach Ho field on the continental shelf of Vietnam. The project is built next to the existing BK-20 rig, with 6 borewells, a system of auxiliary equipment, bridges, connecting pipelines and the conversion of items on BK-20 to receive and treat oil and gas flows from the BK-24 platform.
The successful installation of the BK-24 rig continues to affirm Vietsovpetro's marine design, manufacturing and construction capacity, contributing to ensuring safe, efficient and sustainable exploitation at the Bach Ho field – a national key oil and gas project./.
