Vietnam - Russia Oil and Gas Joint Venture (Vietsovpetro) has just officially become a member of the International Maritime Contractors Association (IMCA).

The Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN) contributed nearly 60 trillion VND (2.59 billion USD) to the state budget in the first seven months of 2019, seven percent above its target.

In the framework of the official visit of the Russian Federation, on September 6, at the Botraroov Rutrei Edifice, Sochi city, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and President Vladimir Putin witnessed a ceremony for signing many cooperation documents between the two countries.

The long term cooperation and the highly mutual trust between Vietnam and Russia allow the two nations’ oil and gas companies to strengthen cooperative ties, the Russian News Agency Ria Novosti quoted Foreign Ministry Spokeperson Maria Zakharova as saying on March 11.

The Vietnam-Russia Oil and Gas Joint Venture (Vietsovpetro) extracted 33.6 million tonnes of oil in the period from 2010 to 2015, surpassing the five-year target by 3 percent.

On June 17, Honeywell marked 100 years of innovation and leadership in the aerospace and oil and gas industries as Honeywell Chairman and CEO Dave Cote led other company executives in ringing the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange. The bell ringing recognized the centennials of Honeywell Aerospace, a pioneer in aviation, and Honeywell’s UOP, which created the basis for the modern refining industry.

According to the information from PVN, a mission of PVN headed by the Director General Do Van Hau attended the 8th World National Oil Congress held from 13 to 16 May 2014 in London, United Kingdom.

“Three groups need to develop their key roles in energy development and national energy security,” Minister of Industry and Trade Vu Huy Hoang told a recent conference to review one year of implementing the Strategic Cooperation Partnership between the Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN), the Vietnam National Gas and Oil Group (PVN) and the Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (TKV).
