On December 8, 2025, Kolon Industries’ Ho Chi Minh City plant (formerly located in Binh Duong), in collaboration with NuriFlex Vietnam, officially commenced commercial operation of its 5.151 MWp rooftop solar power system. This development marks a meaningful step toward sustainable corporate governance and contributes to Vietnam’s national goal of carbon neutrality.

Samsung Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd. (SEV) has officially inaugurated a rooftop solar power system at its SEV factory located in the Yen Phong Industrial Park, Bac Ninh.

According to the Decision 13/2020/QD-TTg (Decision 13), dated April 6, 2020 of the Prime Minister, on the incentive mechanism for solar power development in Vietnam officially coming into effect from the May 22, 2020 instead of Decision 11/2017/QD-TTg expiring on June 30, 2019, the rooftop solar power projects in coming time expect to be developed very strongly.

The Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) anticipated thatthe capacity of rooftop solar power will reachapproximately 2,000 MW by the end of 2020,contributing to ensuring power security.
