On 3rd August 2021, at the headquarters of Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam), Chairman of the Board of Directors Hoang Quoc Vuong had a meeting and worked with Mr. Leonid Mikhelson, Chairman of Novatek Group (Russia).

On May 18, 2017, speaking at the meeting with Deputy Minister (DM) of Energy of Russia Yuri Sentyurin, Vice Prime Minister (VPM) of Vietnam Trinh Dinh Dung said that the Vietnamese government will continue to support petroleum businesses of Vietnam and Russia to further strengthen cooperation to continuously extend investment in Vietnam as well as together look for the investment cooperation opportunities in Russia and the third country.

At the 19th of Russia - Vietnam intergovernmental committee on economic, commercial and scientific cooperation, held in Saint-peterburg on September 21, 2016. Russia and Hungary have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on cooperation in the training of nuclear energy personnel.
