Vietnam and Russia have agreed to continue the NPP development

- At the 19th of Russia - Vietnam intergovernmental committee on economic, commercial and scientific cooperation, held in Saint-peterburg on September 21, 2016. Mr. Igor Shuvalov, Russian Deputy Prime Minister said: Vietnam and Russia have agreed to continue building the Nuclear Power Project (NPP) in Vietnam.

Speaking at the forum, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov affirmed: We have agreed to continue in cooperation for building the NPP in Vietnam by the Russian resources. Russia side will wait from Vietnam side for final decision about the project including the project implementation period and other factors.
Vietnamese delegation participating in the session headed by Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung included representatives from the key ministries, agencies responsible for the Vietnam-Russia bilateral cooperation as well as from the economic groups and large corporations.
