PNE Group (Federal Republic of Germany) opened The Project Office in Binh Dinh

 - PNE Group (Federal Republic of Germany) has opened an Office in Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province. This is an important milestone for PNE's implementation of the Hon Trau offshore wind power project, which has a total capacity of 2,000 MW (3 phases) and a total investment capital of about 4.6 billion USD.

PNE is a pioneer in wind power in Germany, operating on a global scale and is one of the most experienced developers of offshore and onshore wind farms. Over the recent 5 years, PNE Group and Binh Dinh Province have been on the right path, with the right approach to achieve good results in project development, to gradually move closer to realizing the project.

The goal is that by 2030, phase 1 of the project will be implemented in practice, becoming a pilot offshore wind power project in Vietnam and also a pilot project within the framework of the good cooperative relationship between Vietnam and the Federal Republic of Germany.

Speaking online at the event, PNE Group's Executive Chairman Per Hornung Pedersen said that, the opening ceremony of the Project Office in Quy Nhon City is not only a memorable event but also an important milestone in affirming the Group's reputation, quality and commitment to jointly develop the offshore wind farm project named: Hon Trau (Binh Dinh province). This is an important milestone in the project development journey.

According to Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Vietnam Helga Margarete Barth: The opening of the PNE Group's project office in Binh Dinh province is a happy event, affirming determination and commitment of both sides to realize the project in the coming time. Ms. Helga Margarete Barth said: There will be a long journey for the Hon Trau offshore wind power project in Binh Dinh to achieve the expected results. In particular, close coordination between the parties is essential to ensure the success of the project. The Government of the Federal Republic of Germany pledges to continue to support, assist and care for the project to be implemented in Binh Dinh province.

The project will soon have a full legal basis in the shortest time, Ms. Helga Margarete Barth hoped that the leaders of Binh Dinh province will continue to accompany and provide maximum support for the project to be implemented in the coming time. The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Vietnam will provide maximum support for this project according to its authority.

Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Dinh Province Pham Anh Tuan affirmed that, after 5 years of implementation, PNE Group and Binh Dinh Province have overcome many difficulties to achieve initial results to implement the Hon Trau offshore wind power project. With PNE opening an office in Quy Nhon City, this also confirms that the necessary conditions for implementing the Hon Trau project in the province have been ensured, the current problem is the legal basis and regulations of the law related to investment in the offshore wind power sector.

The Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee believed that with the determination of the PNE Group, of Binh Dinh Province, together with the support of the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany, the project will soon be complete all contents to report to the Government of Vietnam and there will be mechanisms and solutions for the project to soon overcome the legal barriers.

After opening an office in Binh Dinh Province, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan hoped that the PNE Group would continue to supplement resources to work with the province, ministries and agencies to promptly complete the requirements according to regulations and propose to the Government of Vietnam to implement the project.

The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Vietnam and the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Vietnam will continue to accompany and support the project in the coming time.

On the side of Binh Dinh province, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan pledged that the Binh Dinh provincial government will absolutely support and be determined to implement the project into reality, contributing to the economic and social development of the province./.
