Gia Lai is one of the provinces with a large potential to develop renewable energy, has an average sunshine hour number of 1,900-2,200 hours per year, total solar radiation of 335-380 kcal/cm2 or daily average solar radiation about 4.6-5.2 kWh/m2. The total potential for developing solar power projects (SPPs) in Gia Lai is 7500 MW, among which more than 5000 MW for ground projects and 2500 MW for floating projects.
