On November 9, 2015, the Chairman of the Member Council  of Electricity of Vietnam (EVN), Duong Quang Thanh received Mr. Philippe Varin – Special Representative of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development of France cum Chairman of the French Nuclear Corporation - AREVA for exchange  of the opportunities for cooperation in the energy and nuclear energy sectors.

On 16 July 2015, in Vinh Hai commune, Ninh Hai district and Phuoc Dinh commune, Thuan Nam district, Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee and Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) held a ceremony for publishing Decision No. 6070 / QD-BCT of the  Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) on adjusting sites of Ninh Thuan 1 and Ninh Thuan 2 Nuclear Power Plants (NPP).

On November 2, 2019, on the occasion of the 35th ASEAN Summit and relevant conferences, Vietnam Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Thai Deputy Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul witnessed the ceremony for signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the investment cooperation between B. Grimm   Power Company under B. Grimm Group (Thailand) and Vietnam Oil and Gas Power Corporation (PV Power) under Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PVN).

On March 9, Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai chaired a meeting for considering the mechanisms to support investment in infrastructure construction of the Ninh Thuan province with an aim to contribute to socio - economic development, living stability of the people in the area under influence of the NPP construction.

The Prime Minister has approved the project for migration and resettlemen of Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) in Ninh Thuan province.

On 17th September morning, the Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai chaired a meeting of the  State Steering Committee of the Nuclear Power Projects to review the progress of establishing a system of legal documents for these new and important  projects.

According to information from Vietnam  Machinery Installation Corporation (Lilama),  on  June 5th  in Bac Ninh City was held a signing ceremony on  Agreement of Cooperation between 69-1 Lilama Stock Company (Lilama, Vietnam) and Hitachi Plant Construction Company (Hitachi, Japan) in Nuclear Power Plant Construction.

On July 30, 2015, ASE – NIAEP Conjugate Company under Russian National Atomic Energy Corporation (Rosatom) and Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) signed a Framework Agreement for implementing construction of the first stage  of Ninh Thuan 1 NPP with the two units by 1,200MW each.

Deputy General Director of Rosatom, Vyacheslav Pershukov, said Vietnam is still in the stage of choosing nuclear power technology, while the investment rate can be calculated only after the completion of the design.

An Integrated Regulatory Review Service (IRRS 2014) Mission  of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) including experts of the IAEA, France, Slovenia, the United States, Canada, The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Pakistan has a business trip to Vietnam to assess the second stage safety infrastructure of the Ninh Thuan nuclear power project (NPP).

On September 6, 2023, in Ho Chi Minh City, The Power Engineering Construction Consulting Joint Stock Company 2 (PECC2) signed a consulting contract to survey and establish a feasibility study report and specialized reports of the project to supply power from the national grid for Con Dao district (Ba Ria - Vung Tau province) with Power Project Management Board 3 – The Representative of ing Vietnam Electricity of Vietnam (A project investor).

According to the Regulations of the International Atomic Energy Agency  (IAEA), controlling  and operating the nuclear reactor built anywhere, is performed in the language of the reactor supply country. So, the language in Ninh Thuan 1 Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) will be Russian.

On May 4, in Hanoi, the signing ceremony of the power purchase agreement (PPA) for Song Hau 1 Thermal Power Plant was held between the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PVN) and the Electricity of Vietnam (EVN).

On Jan 6, 2016, the National Power System Dispatching Center (A0) held an event of official putting the Power System and New Power Market Controlling Center into operation. The Centre operates on basis of supervisory control and data acquisition and energy management systems (SCADA/EMS) newly put into operation. Deputy.Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai attended the event.

On August 8th, 2014, in Hanoi,  the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) held a Ceremony for publishing the Decision on the  appointment of Mr. Vu Ngoc Minh to the post of the Member of Member Council and General Director of EVNNPT replacing Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung who retires by regulations.
