As part of an extensive program to ensure a reliable national power supply in Vietnam, Siemens received an order from the state-run energy company, Electricity of Vietnam National Load Dispatch Centre (EVN NLDC), to improve the performance of the nationwide transmission grid. Siemens will supply and install products and systems for detecting and evaluating failure situations in the grid, for ensuring grid quality and for detecting and monitoring dynamic grid states.

The Prime Minister has just approved a list of the stage 3 power transmission grid projects, invested by loan from Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the German Reconstruction Credit Institute (KFW).

On November 12th, in Ha Noi, the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) and World Bank (WB) had signed a credit loan agreement of  $500 millions for “Transmission Efficiency Project” of National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT).

The National Power Transmission Corporation (EVN NPT) has just held a starting ceremony for an unconstrained loan of US$170 million from Nippon Export Investment Insurance (NEXI) for Vinh Tan Power Center – Song May turn – Tan Uyen transmission line investment.
