The State Capital Management Committee in the Enterprises (SCMC) has just issued Decision No.77-QD/ UBQLV to approve 2020 production, business and development investment plans for parent company - Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin).

In the morning of December 26, in Quang Ninh province, Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industry Group (Vinacomin) held a conference for deploying the production and  business plans and signing contracts to implement the plans in 2020.

On December 23, 2014 in Ha Long City, Vietnam National Coal and Minerals Industries Group (Vinacomin) held a meeting to sum up its production and trade activities in 2014 and implement the group’s business plans in the year 2015.

Petrovietnam (PVN) informed that the group has exceeded all the production and business targets from 2.0 to 21% of the plans.

On December 24, 2014 in Ha Long City, Vietnam National Coal and Minerals Industries Group held a meeting to implement the group’s business plans in the year 2016.

At the meeting for operating production and business in July, Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin) informed that in the first 6 months of the year, the production and business results of the Group met and exceeded the plans. The jobs of employees were stably maintained.

After ACWA Power was approved by the Government of Vietnam as the co-investor for the Nam Dinh 1, a 1200MW coal fired power plant project at Nam Dinh Province in Vietnam, on September 17,2015, Mr. Rajit Nanda, CIO of ACWA Power paid a visit to Vice Minister of MoIT, Mr. Hoang Quoc Vuong with the purpose of officially presenting ACWA Power to MoIT.

The State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises has just issued the Decision No. 237 / QD-UBQLV dated May 21, 2020 on approving the planned targets on production, business and development investment of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN) in 2020.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has just signed Decision No. 345/QD-TTg dated April 26, 2024, for approving the 5-year production, business and investment development investment plan (period 2021 - 2025) of EVN.

At a July 19 conference on implementing the five-year action plan on energy efficiency in the 2019-2030 period, hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) in Lam Dong province, Deputy Minister Hoang Quoc Vuong urged relevant agencies to reduce the rate of energy consumption.

Under the guidance of the Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) Hoang Trung Hai, the coal-fired thermal power plants (TPPs) that are in the investment preparation should be only allowed for starting construction if there are the clear waste (ash and slag) handing plans, or the contracts in principle with the demand companies.

The Prime Minister has urged the Vinacomin to carry out exploration at the Red River coal basin with underground coal gasification technology (UCG).

At the meeting on the status of implementing investment in the third circuit of the Quang Trach-Pho Noi 500 kV line project, on the afternoon of October 23 at the Government Headquarters, Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) Tran Hong Ha requested the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) to strictly implement detained plans and critical paths for implementing the project progress in accordance with the Prime Minister's direction (at Document No. 745/TTg-CN dated August 15, 2023).

According to Vietnam Electricy (EVN), in the framwork of China - Vietnam - Laos Electricity Sectors Summit held from 24th  to 29th in China, EVN and Shanghai Electricity Cooperation (SEC) had a meeting and signed an agreement to remove unsolved problems and make a consistence of measures to speed up the progress of Thermal Electricity power projects Quang Ninh and Vinh Tan 2.

In the first 6 months of 2015, the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN) already kept the tempo of production and business and  completed exceedingly the 6 month plan with a higher rate in comparison with the same period of 2014.
