GE just recently inaugurated the first-of-its-kind ASEAN Digital Start Up Competition 2017 for university students from Vietnam, Malaysia and Thailand. The competition, open across disciplines with a focus on IT, Computer Science, Engineering and Business segments, aims at creating opportunities for young startups to show their intelligence, aspiration and passion using Predix – GE’s operating platform.

Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai assigned Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) to direct building and completing the design of the model of Competitive Power Bulk Market (CPBM), at the same time, with the suggestions on the restructuring of the power industry in accordance with the specific design of the Competitive Power Wholesale Market to submit to Prime Minister in June 2015.

The UK’s Amec Foster Wheeler Energy Limited ( Foster Wheeler) has been hired to outline a master design for the project to expand and upgrade the Dung Quat oil refinery in the central coastal province of Quang Ngai, which is expected to increase its capacity to 8.5 million tonnes per year.
