According to Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PVN), the Premier Oil has officially open N3P well of the Dua Mine, 12W Lot, Vietnamese continental shelf, with an oil flow of about 3,500 barrels per day.

On the morning of January 25, 2019, as planned, CTC1-WHP exploiting rig in Sturgeon (Ca Tam) Field, Lot 09/3-12 gave First Oil, with an initial production of 1,630 tons/day. This is a project invested by a consortium of Vietsovpetro, PetroVietnam Exploration and Production Corporation (PVEP) and Bitexco Group.

According to information from PVN, on November 30, 2016 when conducting seam test for the second object at Bach Ho – 47 exploratory drilling  well, Vietsovpetro had discovered a new oil flow.

At October 30 evening, in Ho Chi Minh city, PetroVietnam held a welcome ceremony for the first oil flow from the drilling rig H5 of the white rhino field managed by Hoang Long Company in join-venture with partners from Vietnam, US and Thailand. Vice Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai attended and spoke at the ceremony.

On April 1st, in Lima the capital of Republic of Peru, Petrovietnam Exploration and Production Corporation (PVEP) and Peru Petroleum Corporation (Perenco) held a valve opening ceremony for sale of the first commercial oil flow from Lot 67 in Peru.

At 7.00 am on May 7, at 37 P well of the White Rabbit field, the White Rabbit 3 drilling rig officially exploited the first oil flow (for 13 days earlier than planned) with an initial production of 164 tons per day.

On March 01, 2017 at the Well 37P of the White Rabbit Field, Tam Dao 05 Drilling Rig gave the first oil flow.  

PetroVietnam Exploration and Production Corporation (PVEP) informed, the “Thorough Recovery” Project of Rang Dong mine has given the first oil flow.

On June 2nd, 2015  Morning (local time), Vietnam Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and Algeria Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal  visited the National Petroleum Company Algeria (Sonatrach) – a  partner of the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PVN) in the joint venture company for exploiting  Bir Sebaar  and MOM Oil Mines at the  433a and  416b lots in Algeria's Sahara desert.

At 3:00 p.m. on December 18, 2023, the Vietnam - Russia Joint Venture Vietsovpetro was pleased to welcome the first commercial oil flow from the BK-4A platform of Bach Ho field (12 days earlier than planned).

Vietsovpetro informed that at 7:00 am on July 15, 2023, Vietsovpetro opened well R-24, then at 9:06 am on the same day opened well R-66 and welcomed the first commercial oil flow from the RC-8 rig at Dragon (Rong) field.

PVEP held a ceremony to welcome the first oil flow from Su Tu Nau (Brown Lion) and Su Tu Vang Tây Nam (Southwest Golden Lion) mines - 15.1 Lot in Ho Chi Minh city. Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai attended the Ceremony.

PetroVietnam Exploration and Production (PVEP) informed, at 10h10 19 Sep.2014, Su Tu Vang Tay Nam (Southwest Golden Lion -SWGL) Project under 15-1 lot, Vung Tau offshore executed by Cuu Long Joint Operating Company (Cuu Long JOC) produced the first commercial oil flow, for just 5 days later than operation of Su Tu Nau Nam (South Brown Lion) mine ( also under Cuu Long JOC).  

PetroVietnam Exploration and Production Corporation  (PVEP) told:  at 10h45 am on 14th Sept. 2014, Su Tu Nau Nam (STN-N) mine has given the first oil  flow from SNS-2P well  with an oil flow of 5,300 barrels per day, earlier for 47 days than planned date. The next three SNS-1P, SNS-3P and SNS-4P  wells will be put into operation in turn and then the total flow of   STN-N mine is expected of 28,000 barrels per day.

From September 9 to 12, 2019, the delegation of Binh Son Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (BSR) led by General Director Bui Minh Tien attended the 35th APPEC Conference in Singapore. This is an opportunity for BSR to contact and discuss with partners to expand opportunities for importing crude oil for Dung Quat Oil Refinery.
