On the morning of December 29, 2021, the Southern Electricity Corporation (EVNSPC) and construction units started to pull the conductors for across the sea of the 220 kV Kien Binh - Phu Quoc transmission line, one of the national key projects to strengthen the electricity supply for Phu Quoc city (Kien Giang province).The project with a total length of 64.7 km and investment of 2,212 billion VND.

According to the information of Electricity of Vietnam (EVN), at the present the capacity of rooftop solar power projects (RSPPs) in the South accounts for over 60% the total capacity of solar power projects (SPPs) of EVN (1,142 MWp).

Electricity of Vietnam’s Southern Power Corporation (EVNSPC) is scheduled to commenceconstruction of a solar power plant in the island district of Con Dao, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province in July this year in a bid to turn the district into a high-quality economic and tourism area.
