Recently, at working meeting with Mr. Yota ONO, the Director of National Resources and Environment Department (Ministry of Trade and Industry of Japan) on progress of development of Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical Complex Project (Nghi Son Refinery), leaders of Thanh Hoa province asked Idemitsu Kosan Company (Japan) and other constructors to hasten progress of the project.

In the morning of September 9, Vung Ro Refinery and Petrochemical Plant – A large industrial project with  the latest in state-of-the-art technologies in the world has been officially broken ground.

According to the  Vietnam Erection Corporation (Lilama), on May 22, at the Nghi Son Oil Refinery and Petrochemical Project, Lilama Erection  Mechanical  JSC (Lilama EMC) in cooperation with Nippon Express Company (NEX, Japan) successfully installed two reactor towers - SPM4  bidding package (AE00), with a total weight of nearly 900 tons.

The operator of Vietnam's only oil refinery is planning to sell a 4 percent stake this November, and expects to raise nearly VND1.93 trillion ($84.8 million) from the offering, Bloomberg reported.

This is event as part of the investment promotion chain of Quang Ngai Province in Korea, Doosan Vina is the bridge.

Six years since being licensed, the Nam Van Phong oil refinery is still calling for investment capital as its scale has nearly doubled requiring a total $8 billion investment.
