Dung Quat TPP will be developed on a total 134 ha area, of which the power plant building is on a 74 ha area of Son Tra, Tan Hy villages, to the west of the Dung Quat Shipyard and Slag ground is on a 60 ha area of the Tan Hy Village, to the south of the Dung Quat Shipyard.
Dung Quat TPP is a BOT project of Singapore Sembcorp Group with a 1,200 MW capacity and an over USD 2 billion total investment.
This is a very important project in Dung Quat Economic Zone. Therefore, publishing the location and boundary landmarks of the project for the people to know clearly, and so do not to encroach and carry out any illegal construction in the project area, impacting the process of the project implementation.
Quang Ngai provincial authority intends to handover released land at the first stage in the first quarter and the second stage in the forth quarter of 2016.
Quang Ngai Provincial People Committee allows Dung Quat Economic Zone Management Board to implement rightly the works for surveying and inventorying assets, land within the project area to make the plan for support compensation and resettlement in order to ensure the progress of land handing over to the investor.
It is expected that, the unit No1 of Dung Quat TPP will be in commercial operation in September 2020 and all the plant - in March 2021 with an over 7 billion kWh power generation per year.
