EVN and NSMO sign a cooperation agreement on power system operation

EVN and NSMO have jointly developed the content of the cooperation agreement to continue to maintain and coordinate more closely in operation, making an important contribution to ensuring electricity supply for the country and people.
The cooperation agreement between the two parties specifies the scope of cooperation areas, coordination content, rights and obligations of the parties with the goal of ensuring safe, stable, continuous and economic operation of the power system; perform well the tasks of power supply and electricity market operation in the future...
Some specific tasks such as:
- Planning, dispatching, operating the national power system (HTĐ), and electricity market (TTĐ), ensuring the national power system operates safely, stably, continuously and economically.
- Coordinating the operation and handling of information system incidents, ensuring information security for the operations of EVN and NSMO.
- Coordinating the work of building production and business and investment development plans for EVN and its member units.
- Coordinating the equipment of protective relay systems, interlock circuits, special discharges, incident recording equipment, phase angle measuring equipment and incident analysis and reporting...
EVN General Director Nguyen Anh Tuan said that, in the past, there has always been close coordination between EVN and NSMO in the work.
With this Cooperation Agreement, EVN and NSMO continue to mark a new step, connecting and coordinating more closely to fulfill the common task of providing safe and stable electricity for the country, thereby contributing to the development of the Vietnam Electricity industry.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Ninh - Acting General Director of NSMO also emphasized that the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement between EVN and NSMO is an important milestone, affirming that the two sides will continue to accompany and coordinate effectively in all aspects of work.
From August 2024, the National Power System Dispatch Center (now the National Power System and Electricity Market Operation Company Limited) will be officially transferred from EVN, the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
During the transition period of 2024, EVN continued to support NSMO to successfully complete the plan to ensure power supply in the dry season, energize the 500 kV line with the third circuit (Quang Trach - Pho Noi), ensure safe operation of the power system and many other important tasks./.
