Commenting on VCAE EXPO and VCAE IF 2025 at the press conference (January 8, 2025, in Hanoi), an expert from the Vietnam Energy Association (VEA) said:

First: Regarding the exhibition on the power industry, China has now become the world's largest manufacturer of electrical equipment in general, as well as renewable energy equipment. They are looking for investment opportunities, while Vietnam and ASEAN need to call for investment in energy sources, especially clean energy to serve the rapidly increasing demand, and at the same time switch to low-emission energy sources.

On the other hand, the development of electricity requires ASEAN countries to connect and connect with China to compensate for the instability of renewable energy. The Exhibition and Forum will create opportunities for the parties to learn about each other and discuss cooperation opportunities.

Second: Regarding the oil and gas industry exhibition, VCAE EXPO 2025 and VCAE IF 2025 are places where all enterprises can display and introduce modern oil and gas processing technologies of China and ASEAN.

China is the world's largest oil and gas consumer, both domestically and imported, so it has a developed oil and gas industry. Vietnam also has some strengths in manufacturing oil and gas exploitation equipment. ASEAN countries and China have many opportunities to cooperate in oil and gas exploitation and processing. Therefore, experiences in LNG trading, transportation, storage, and gasification can be shared by countries at this event.

Third: Regarding the coal industry exhibition, China is the world's leading coal producer and consumer, accounting for more than half of the world's coal output. China has committed to gradually reducing its consumption of coal and fossil fuels in general by 2030. At this Exhibition and Forum, China is willing to share with ASEAN countries its experience and technology in exploiting and using coal most reasonably, increasing the flexibility of coal-fired power plants during the boom period of renewable energy.

Fourth: Regarding the green energy equipment technology exhibition, China has become the country with the world's leading solar power, wind power, and storage battery technology. The installed capacity of renewable energy in China will exceed 1,000 GW from 2023. The potential of wind and solar power in ASEAN countries is huge and many Chinese enterprises are willing to cooperate with ASEAN enterprises. The areas of cooperation include the production chain of renewable energy equipment for export to third countries, the purchase and sale of renewable energy equipment, and investment in this power source and transmission grid.
