On Jan 8, 2015, at Ho Chi Minh city, PetroVietnam Drilling and Well Services Corporation (PV Drilling) signed a contract to provide the drilling rig to the PetroVietnam Exploration Production Corporation - Petroleum Operation Company (PVEP POC).

Last week, at Ho Chi Minh city, PetroVietnam Drilling & Well Services Corporation (PV Drilling) signed a contract for providing the PetroVietnam Exploration Production Operating Company (PVEP POC) with a drilling rig.

Petrovietnam Drilling & Well Services Corporation (PV Drilling - PVD) has just signed six contracts totaling US$ 42 million with TNK Vietnam B.V. Company  (TNK Vietnam B.V under the  Rosneft Group -  Russia). Accordingly, PVD will provide the jack-up PV Drilling VI rig and well technical services for Rosneft's drilling campaign.

A ceremony was held in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau on December 13th to launch Tam Dao 05 offshore oil rig, the largest ever locally-manufactured jack-up rig.

Morning December 13, 2015, in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province, the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) held a launch ceremony of the Tam Dao 05 Drilling rig for Vietnam - Russia Joint Venture Corporation (Vietsovpetro) East Sea offshore petroleum development. Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai attended the ceremony.

PV Drilling informed that since the official operation (November of 2009) up to now the PV DRILLING III rig has achieved a success of continuous safe operation for nine years without incident for working stop (Zero LTI) and specially, without recordable incident (No Recordable Incident).  

At 7.00 am on May 7, at 37 P well of the White Rabbit field, the White Rabbit 3 drilling rig officially exploited the first oil flow (for 13 days earlier than planned) with an initial production of 164 tons per day.

On July 07, 2015, in Hanoi, PetroVietnam Drilling & Well Services Corporation (PV Drilling) has signed a contract to supply lifting rig PV Drilling II for Red River Oil Company (PVEP Red River).

On December 7, 2015 Vietnam - Russia Joint Venture Corporation (Vietsovpetro) held a ceremony for pinning the project board, summarizing emulation of building works and putting the drilling rig ThTC-02 at the White Rabbit field into operation.

According to PetroVietnam (PVN), after more than 10 months of construction, in the morning of October 25, 2014, Vietsopetro Investor and PV Shipyard General Contractor held the Ceremony for Tam Dao 05 Drilling Rig Keel laying.
