The signing ceremony on Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) from SP Infra Solar Poewer Plant 1 between Electricity Power Trading Company (Electricity of Vietnam - EVN) and Shapoorji Finacial Financial Infrastructure Company Ltd., (India) took place in Hanoi on July 17, 2018.  

Sao Mai Group, the Investor of Sao Mai Solar Power Project (SPP) and EVN Electric Power Trading Company have just held the Ceremony to sign the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for Sao Mai SPP with an electricity tariff of 2086 VND/kWh at the point of electricity delivery for 20 years since the date of project commercial operation.

In the morning of June 14, 2019, in Cam Lam district (Khanh Hoa province), the representative of the Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC) and the related units organized to synchronize the first phase (with design capacity of 10 MW) of the solar power project (SPP) of EVNCPC with the national power system.

VnEconomy citing news from the Economic Times (India) reports that private power firm Tata Power is looking for a local partner in Viet Nam to build a 1,320 MW thermal power plant. On December 12, in Ninh Thuan province, the Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) held a ceremony of starting out the power supply system for constructing Ninh Thuan Nuclear Power Plant (NPP). On April 15, PetroVietnam Power Corporation (PV Power) had a meeting with the leaders of Ca Mau province on Ca Mau 3 power project.

On December 29, 2019, In Tan Thuan commune, Dam Doi district, Ca Mau province, the ceremony for starting Tan Thuan Wind Power Project took place.

The Bac Lieu Provincial People's Committee (PPC) has handed the Decision on investment policy of Bac Lieu liquefied natural gas (LNG) power project to Delta Offshore Energy Pte Ltd (DOE Singapore).
