Starting Ca Mau 3 Power Project

At the meeting, Mr. Le Nhu Linh, the General Director of PV Power proposed to deploy Ca Mau 3 Power Project in Khanh An Industrial Park (Khanh An Commune, U Minh District, Ca Mau Province), next to the existing Ca Mau Gas - Power - Fertilizer Zone).
Ca Mau 3 Power Project including 2 combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) units with a total capacity of 1500 MW, and a total investment level of 1.5 $ billion, used important LNG expects to be completed in 2026.
The PV Power asks Ca Mau Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) to consider for handing over a land area of about 26 ha in Khanh An commune for PV Power to develop Ca Mau 3 Power project, when it would be approved in Power Development Planning VIII (PDP VIII).
Mr. Le Nhu Linh affirmed that PV Power should carry out properly the responsibilities and obligations of the investor when project developing.
Mr. Le Quan, the Chairman of Ca Mau PPC, expressed the thanks to PV Power on investment in and good operating power plants in Ca Mau province and by that contributed to the budget and social welfare of Ca Mau province in recent years. Mr. Le Quan emphasized the confidence in capacity, potential and prestige of PV Power and also assigned Ca Mau Provincial Department of Resources and Environment as a focal point for handing over the site to PV Power for project development.
